We thought it would be helpful to you to list some of the most frequently asked questions we're asked - hope it helps.

What are the term dates for 2012?

TERM 2 (May:,10,17,24,31 - Jun:7,14,21)
TERM 3 (Jul:5,12,19,26 - Sep:6,13,20)
TERM 4 (Oct:18,25 - Nov:1,8,15,22,29)

What does a typical night look like?

6.30 - Coffee & welcome
6.45 - New to Teaching Nights session for first timers
7.15 - Classrooms open
7.30 - Class begins, session 1
8.30 - Break, coffee & resource
8.45 - Class continues, session 2
9.45 - Finish
9.45 - Resource available and goodnight!

What should i do upon arrival?

Every week at 6.45pm we host “New to Teaching Nights” drinks – it’s an opportunity to ask questions and meet some people. We’d recommend to drop by there first.

Will I have to do Homework & Assignments?

Ministry Basics:
Each week you will get a small amount of work to complete at home. It should only take about 20 minutes to complete and it will be used to stimulate discussion the following week.
Ministry Foundations:
Assessments and Exams

Are there any recommended books to read for my course?

Yes – each course has specific books that will help you get more out of the subject. Although not a requirement, we recommend you purchase some if you are able. We do have a small selection at the college evenings.

Are there any Course Acknowledgement?

Ministry Basics:
A certificate or recognition will be issued upon completion of each subject if attendance requirements have been met.
Ministry Foundations:
Option 1 – Complete course with assessments and receive credits towards a Cert IV in Ministry
Option 2 – Complete course without assessment and receive a certificate of completion

How much does it cost??

The Lifestyle Courses are FREE and range from 3 weeks to 4 weeks. Anyone is welcome to join
Ministry Basic Courses last 7 weeks and cost £50 (payable in full)
Ministry Foundations Courses last 14 weeks and cost £100 (payable in split payments)

Is there a discount for Pensioners and Students?

Yes there is a 20% discount code you can use when you register which automatically adjusts your payment. Please bring your ID with you on the first night of college to verify your status.

Can I just turn up?

We'd prefer you didn't – our classrooms have a capacity and by registering it tells us how many people are coming.

Can I join at anytime?

All courses have a start and end date and you should be registered before the start day ideally.
