Shaun Stuart

Born and raised in South Africa Shaun decided to move to Stoke-on-Trent in England aged 21. Here he enjoyed playing rugby and discovered his English heritage from a grandmother who was born in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. After the rugby season completed he relocated to London with family to live, work and travel Europe. It was here he attended Hillsong Church London on May 16th, 2004. On this day he made a decision to follow Jesus which led him to becoming part of the Hillsong London team. Since finding his church family, Shaun has also found his wife and more recently added a handsome son to the Stuart family. Shaun leads our Connect Groups and is passionate about helping others find their place of belonging.

Connect Groups are a great way for you to get to know other people and build authentic relationships at the heart of our Church family. They are the heartbeat of the church! Phil is the Children's Pastor — helping make church accessible for our youngest and most precious. He is married to Christa who leads the All Stars and Voltage teams — our Kids Church experience for children in primary school. He knows that if you want to make an impact in the world, the best, most effective, and easiest way to do it is by sowing into the life of a child.

Parenting Revolution

The Parenting Revolution, presented in partnership with clinical psychologist Dr Robi Sonderegger, is an innovative educational series designed to equip and empower you and your family with life-changing resiliency skills. Unlike typical child-rearing programs that encourage parents to "manage" their children's behaviour, the Parenting Revolution outlines a recipe for sustainable behavioural transformation.

Phil Kyei

Phil is London born and bred. As an investment banker turned Youth Pastor, he spent six years working for one of the largest investment banks in the world, before God placed on his heart a passion to see young people's lives changed.

He is also our resident church DJ having regularly played at a number of after church parties and team nights.

Phil also heads up our community outreach project the I Care revolution which regularly goes into schools across London to promote a message of cause and purpose and the ability for young people to change their world one life at a time.

Wildlife

Wildlife is the Youth Ministry of Hillsong Church London. We're a crowd of young people between the ages of 14-17 years old, who get together every Friday night in Areas across London for regional events, parties and connect groups. We are passionate about living life, loving God, and impacting our worlds with the revelation of Jesus Christ. Wildlife is for you and your friends to discover more about God and His plan for your life.

Simon Gibbes

Simon was born & bred in Auckland, New Zealand & he has a love for all board sports. He found himself pursuing a professional career in tennis from a young age and this pursuit led him to the motherland, London, England, which he decided to make his home. Simon quickly got involved in church life as a volunteer before working as a full time assistant to Gary Clarke for a little over a year. Simon now oversee's the ongoing development & pastoral leadership of the thriving young adult demographic in church. He is passionate about seeing the church flourish & be all its designed to be.

Young Adults

Young Adults is all about empowering the emerging generation of influence in every sphere of life.

With parties, connect groups and gatherings taking place every week and every month there's loads for you get involved and connected with in an environment where you can express your faith amongst peers. Our heart is to spur you on to build a greater personal relationship with Jesus, connecting with His cause and His church to make a positive impact in your world.

Dan Blythe

Dan grew up in West Sussex near Brighton. At the age of 18 he went to Australia for three years where he travelled the East coast and studied for two years at C3 School of Ministry.

At 21 Dan came back to the UK where he launched and pioneered a successful charity called 'Change Youth' in Canterbury, Kent. Here Dan also spent some time helping to develop a schools project, creating awareness of domestic abuse and promoting safe relationships. This program - Love Shouldn’t Hurt - was also successful in showing teenagers the early warning signs of an unhealthy relationship. It won several awards and is used across Kent.

Now married to Charlie Blythe and living in London, Dan leads and pastors our Velocity age group. He loves connecting people into the life of the church and seeing them fulfil their potential.

Velocity

Velocity is a fresh initiative for the 25+ community. We do some great parties from Masquerade boat parties to Murder Mystery and Jazz nights. We also do Encounter nights, community projects and our very own online podcast show.

Andrew Cherrie

Andrew started out in ministry as a Youth Pastor in 1998. During ten years in Youth Ministry he presented a Kids TV program on God TV, spoke to students as a motivational speaker at Durham University and worked across Europe developing leaders and supporting church planting initiatives.

In September 2007 he became the Associate Pastor of Xcel Church in the North of England where he pioneered a church congregation in a nearby city. During this time Andrew worked on the development and construction of a brand new conference centre with a state of the art day nursery, coffee shop, office suites and 1200 seat auditorium.

Together with his wife Louise and their four children, Andrew made the move to London where he joined the staff of Hillsong Church London to develop the Evening College and work with the Pastoral team.

Andrew is passionate about building the church, developing leaders and seeing people living their full potential in God. Amongst other responsibilities Andrew oversees the family pastoral area in the church and is a regular speaker in our weekend services.

Families

Hillsong London is the perfect place for you and your family, with so much on offer your kids won't want to leave! On Sundays our services are lively and family friendly and our action packed Kids Church is always a big hit with all who attend. Those with smaller children can enjoy our family room with facilities to make it a great day in church for you and your children.

Jason Strathdee

Jason has been attending Hillsong Church London since February 2005. Born and raised in Dunblane in Scotland, he is our snowboarding Braveheart heading up the largest group of volunteer teams at Dominion. He is a passionate leader with a heart for people. Before coming to work full time as the Front of House Teams Pastor in September 2011, Jason graduated from the University of Strathclyde with a Bsc in Computer Science, becoming a specialist in IT security - working in the finance, law and accountancy sectors. He is a keen and highly competent footballer, who played semi-professional for East Fife in the Scottish Football League.

Front of House

The Front of House teams include Foyer Setup, Hosts and Security. All contribute to making it possible for us to have church on a Sunday. The Foyer Setup team is responsible for unloading the white truck and setting up the all signs, plasmas and tables you see in Foyers and Family areas. The Hosts meet and greet everyone as they arrive, helping them to the best possible seat. The Security team is there to ensure that everyone who attends church can do so in a safe environment, and make sure all our equipment is cared for during bump in and out. We’re after people that are passionate about doing whatever it takes to make church possible.

Christian Elliot

Head of creative and of Global Social Justice, Christian was born in the heart of London, the son of a world class session musician and grandson to one of london's top jazz musicians. His love for music and the arts was established at a young age & as a result of dedicating himself to playing drums within a short period of time was working as a session musician internationally. Entering into adulthood Christian had a capacity for business & started a technology company in the early 90's which became widely used by the private and public sector, and a media company shortly after, both of them winning multiple international awards for technical and creative prowess. Christian sold his technology business in 2002 & started working around the clock on social justice issues founding currently two well known global organisations in the fight against human trafficking, championing the best of breed projects for children. Christian comes to the staff of Hillsong with a pedigree of knowledge in Both Media and Social Justice obtaining prestigious awards in both.

Because We Can

Hillsong Church London collaborates with Compassion (Child Sponsorship), Watoto (supporting orphaned and vulnerable children of Africa) Vision Rescue (Street Children in Mumbai, India) and The A21 Campaign (Human Trafficking), as part of a global effort to make poverty history. Part of the mission of the church is to reach out to those in the greatest of need. Why do we do this? Because we can. We are looking for people who are friendly, enthusiastic and have a passion for eradicating poverty. Our team are based in the Foyer of the Dominion where we answer questions and make it easy for people to get involved in global justice initiatives.

Jerry Brown

Jerry is a very talented musician, and one of the UK’s finest drummers. He has worked for artists such as Ms Dynamite, Westlife, Marti Pelow (Wet, Wet, Wet), Mica Paris, Natalie Umbruglia, amongst others. Having played the drums since he was 8 years old, Jerry played his first gig at 14 and by 18 he was playing drums on the Gloria Gaynor tour. He has also been on Live tours with diverse artists from Will Young, Girls Aloud to Belinda Carlilse to name a few. He has recorded DVD’s with Girls Aloud, Jamelia, The London Community Gospel Choir. He is very happily married to wife Kathleen and has three beautiful children, Halle 10, Benaiah 5 and Tianna 4 years old.

Sound

The Sound team is responsible for the all the Sound, Lights and Video we experience at church on a Sunday. Assisted by the Stage Managers, they ensure that church is presented in the best way possible, and are constantly striving for excellence. A good technical knowledge in at least one of the production operator areas, and attention to detail are essential qualities required to joining this highly skilled team.

David Kennedy

David is an Arsenal supporting Australian with English grandparents (granddad was born and bred in Bradford). He is happily married to his beautiful Norwegian wife Ingrid. He grew up playing semi professional basketball but at the age of 19 decided to focus on his other love that is, music. After spending 5 years at Hillsong Church in Sydney, he moved to London where he immediately joined our Worship Team, and has been faithfully serving for over 8 years. David and Ingrid head up the Worship Team at Hillsong Church London.

Worship

The Worship Team is a hard working skill based team made up of volunteers who love being creative and leading their church in worship every week. The teams serve together each week with the goal of making our church worship the best it can be. There are two distinct areas of our team; vocalists and musicians. As our need for more services increases, as does our need for people skilled in these areas.

Christopher Gray

Christopher lives and breaths for Film and TV. Brought up in the Yorkshire countryside, he was making films from the age of ten on his dad's VHS camera, desperately trying to emulate his heroes in Spielberg and Lucas. He attended Bournemouth Screen Academy and graduated in 2007 with a degree in producing, going on to work for the Harry Potter and James Bond franchises. Christopher joined us in late 2011 and heads up Broadcast, Film and Television for Hillsong London, directing our content creation and heading up the live broadcast elements for Sundays and events. He is passionate about communicating through video; the message of salvation and the significance of Christ and the Church in today's culture.

Video/TV

This area of church is a critical part of the wider production team and is made up of a diverse selection of highly skilled volunteers. The aim is to facilitate communication through video to the wider church, either live or as recorded video pieces. The live production team handle our Sunday services and events, for this team we're looking for passionate live camera operators, vision mixers, visual directors and engineers. On the filmmaking side, we're looking for those proficient in camera work, editing, lighting, directing and cinematography. This team is a fantastic opportunity for those with a key skill or those looking to develop skills in this area, it's highly focused so requires team members to be actively involved with the Church and committed to developing those around them.

Adam Spies

Adam was born and brought up in the suburbs of Sydney, Australia, but after studying in Sydney, relocated to London in 2009 with the idea to see more of the world and experience all that this city has to offer. Now settled in central London, Adam is a Chartered Accountant and has ten years experience in accounting and financial roles in both Sydney and London. He joined the Hillsong London team in 2011 as the CFO, and oversees all the financial and regulatory functions of the church, as well as leading the Resource and administrative teams.

Resource

The Resource team helps to equip our Church with useful, relevant and empowering resources for use in their day to day lives. Our goal is to help people access resources to support them in furthering their relationship with God, increasing their understanding and renewing of their minds through personal study. The team in involved in the setup, display and selling of CDs, DVDs, Bibles, books and teaching resources at Church and at our events. The resource team is a great opportunity to be involved, help people grow, while being able to contribute to the Church’s friendly and inviting atmosphere.
